We’re back to introduce you to another one of our fabulous real estate agents! Meet April Matthews.
2. What did you do prior to working with Village Associates?
I used to work as an agent with Solomon Wilmington Real Estate. Before that, I worked with Coldwell Banker in Orinda and prior I worked overseas in production for the clothing industry.
3. What attracted you to Village Associates?
I was interested in working with a smaller organization and having the opportunity to work more independently.
4. What is your most memorable moment as a real estate agent?
The job itself is memorable!
5. What are your hobbies?
I enjoy hiking, walking, jogging, biking, reading, gardening, cooking, traveling, horseback riding, knitting and painting.
6. Can you share something personal about yourself?
I helped to bring Nordstrom to California in 1978; I worked as a buyer for them. I opened a number of stores in California and Utah. I also helped design and produce the Greg Norman Golf Line for Reebok.
I started running in 1973 before there were women’s running shoes and had to buy my Nike Waffle trainers in the men’s shoe area. When I was younger and lived in Seattle, Nordstrom had a caged monkey in their shoe store—this is before they sold clothing!
