Concord is a central Contra Costa hub with a more “suburban-but-connected” feel, popular for families and commuters who want easy East Bay access (BART/highways) plus parks, shopping, and a growing downtown scene.
Concord is a diverse East Bay community where many cultures and backgrounds shape day-to-day life. Residents identify with a wide range of racial and ethnic groups—most commonly White and Asian—and the city is also home to a significant Hispanic/Latino population (about a third of residents).
